Snowboard or Ski

Many people believe that snowboarding is harder then skiing but in reality snowboarding is a lot simpler than skiing. Snowboarding is very intuitive; it feels natural, not technical. After an initial stage, the learning curve for snowboarding is very rapid. Some snowboarders can tackle advanced terrain during their first season on a snowboard and you only have one piece of equipment to carry.

Snowboarding is easier, more comfortable, easier on your body, easier to learn and is more fun than skiing. It usually takes a few dedicated years of skiing to get to a point where beginning snowboarders are after half a season.

Snowboarding Vs SkiingThe one time snowboarding is more difficult than skiing is the first few days. The first day on skiis, you can at least stand up and shuffle your feet around like you’re walking but with snowboarding, it is very difficult to stand still because your feet are attached to the same board and you’re on a slanted hill.

After this initial learning stage, it is a rapid learning curve. Some snowboarders can reach an advanced level of snowboarding after only one season. This can be extremely satisfying and fun and pretty soon, you are already off the blue runs and able to tackle the entire mountain.
